Missouri – Additional Services Are On the Way

New services will soon be available in Missouri!

JPay is happy to announce that we will be providing FREE JPay tablets to incarcerated loved ones in Missouri Department of Corrections facilities! JPay is currently working with the DOC on a deployment plan, and once those dates are finalized for each facility, we’ll inform customers regarding when they can expect their free device! Additionally, once email service is established in the facilities, your loved ones will receive four FREE stamps each month to send you emails! As a reminder, you can now send your loved ones inbound email, which will be printed and delivered at the facility. And, if you send your loved ones money through JPay.com or the JPay mobile app, then you can also send a free message through Free Notes.

More services to come – stay tuned!

Curious as to why you do not take American Express as it is one of the safest forms of payment there is not only for you but myself. I can not send my loved one what he needs most currently as his mother has passed away due to your lack of more forms of payment excepted. This is quite disheartening.

So just asking if there are any updates as to when Missouri inmates will start receiving additional services? What I am hearing Is it may take until December 2018. I know it takes time but it’s over 3 months ago they announced this and no updates on the process. Just wondering how far along in the process we are? It would be nice if we had some sort of idea, as I am now over 20 hours Drive away from my son. so visits are almost impossible at this point, video visits would be great. Thanks in advance for any input. 🙂

I have a few questions that other may be wondering too…
    – – Will the JP5 player be in each inmates room or a common area which means they have to wait/share? How big is the screen on the JP5 player ?
    – – How many minutes doe a video chat last? Is it monitored? Is it in view of other inmates?
    – – Will there be a limit on how many emails / video chats an inmate can make or receive a week/month?
    – – Lastly, if I pay for a video chat and the guards call lock down, can I get a refund?

Perhaps there is a website with all these types of questions already we can be pointed to???

I absolutely love JPay I send a email every day as I live in south east Missouri and my husband is in Fulton so it’s not very easy to go see him all the time. Very happy with JPay and can’t wait for new things to be added to my app. I hope Missouri gets the music as well. My husband loves music and usually when he calls I have to have a song playing.

My brother just found out that he will be getting JP5S soon in Missouri…free. I’m so excited for him & so is he. He said the whole thing has kind of uplifted things there. I’m just praying that as they keep giving them updates (2 updates in November) that they might give them to the inmates b4 Christmas which would be truly wonderful. He is so down n dumps sometimes as many of you all know. Anyway, he’s been told that they will be locked down during the process of the c.o.’s giving each their tablets but that’s all he knows. He asked me to get online and look up info about the tablets & the apps that are already built in. I’m so happy….Thank You Lord. So I’m gonna get on & google the JP5S & see what I can find out for him. So far JPAY has been great…altho I had to pay $2.50 for 10 email stamps….I’m grateful…he gets it the next day & he gets 4 free email stamps a month. THANKS JPAY

I am wondering who will be responsible for the tablet if it breaks, or it is broken or stolen ? It sounds good but ai am concerned that there are a lot of hidden fees involved. There are a lot of prisoners that don’t have the resources to be able to replace it.

Just wondering about the amount of stamps that are required per letter/email. Is it based on the length of the letter? I can’t find anything that states these requirements. I also didn’t see a character count in the text box on the app, if that is the basis for the quantity of stamps. Thanks!!

    November 3, 2017 - 5:56 pm

It would be nice if free tablets were available across all states. There are so many indigent inmates in Washington State who would benefit so much by having access to their loved ones outside. Inmates who parole can’t even wipe their tablet and donate it to another inmate, which is sad. Very far behind the times.

My husband and I would like to know what the ‘more services’ are going to be. We hope it will be all the services that JPay provides. If so this will be a great way to stay in touch with each other. Also will all inmates receive a tablet? Or will it only be certain ones? I wonder because he just got there last month and have not yet been assigned a permanent place yet. We have been married for 17 years and this is his first time going in. He already has a GED and would love to be able to get the learning matieral. And the music would help mentally as well.

For years I’ve told him of all the technology out here, but the closest he’s come to experiencing it is through commercials.
