Missouri – Additional Services Are On the Way

New services will soon be available in Missouri!

JPay is happy to announce that we will be providing FREE JPay tablets to incarcerated loved ones in Missouri Department of Corrections facilities! JPay is currently working with the DOC on a deployment plan, and once those dates are finalized for each facility, we’ll inform customers regarding when they can expect their free device! Additionally, once email service is established in the facilities, your loved ones will receive four FREE stamps each month to send you emails! As a reminder, you can now send your loved ones inbound email, which will be printed and delivered at the facility. And, if you send your loved ones money through or the JPay mobile app, then you can also send a free message through Free Notes.

More services to come – stay tuned!

My son got his tablet the other day, and asked me to put money on his music acct. He is in Fulton, MO. I use a laptop, and there is no music tab. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Cindy – We apologize for any confusion. At this time you can only attach an eCard in Missouri Department of Corrections via email. However, you can attach a photo through the Snap’n Send option which is also available from the JPay mobile app. Thanks!

For Missouri DOC, I cannot attach a picture to an email while on the website. It only allows an e-card to be attached. It will work on the app, so why not on the website?

How do we know if an email is under review or if it has been rejected? Is it the institution or Jpay that decides? In such cases, do ppl (senders and receivers) receive a notification from Jpay which says the email has been rejected? I couldn’t find any answers to this on the site. I haven’t heard from my friend in 2 weeks now and I’m having anxiety issues and am really worried.

Hello, but what causes an email to be reviewed? The ones I’ve received 3 and 4 days later were just a one line sentence asking ‘how I was doing’. Who decides if an email is rejected? The institution or Jpay? If an email is rejected will Jpay contact the sender/receiver?

Hi Mike – Some emails are flagged for review, which would cause a delay in delivery. However, the majority of JPay emails are delivered within 24-48 hours. Thanks!

It says on the Jpay sute that emails take 24-48 hrs to be delivered. I’ve just received an email that was written and sent to me 4 days ago (It was a short email asking me how I was doing) and yesterday I’ve received an email from another friend which was written 3 days prior (this friend simply said that I can start to email her). Why is there such a long delay? How long will it take them to receive my emails and will it take ever longer if I’m sending them a longer email?
